Welcome to Judging at the 20^th World Orchid Conference

Dear Orchid Friend,

One of the highlights of the 20^th World Orchid Conference will no doubt be the Orchid Show, the largest ever to be held in Singapore. Here, conference registrants and visitors will experience stunning displays of exotic orchid plants, grown with love and care by amateurs and professionals from every region of the world.

Awards, including Ribbons, Medals and Trophies, will be given to the best plants and displays in the Orchid Show. Such awards are treasured by orchid growers, who proudly display them for all to see. It is a source of great pride to have won a prize at such a prestigious international competition. World Orchid Conferences are rightly regarded as the "Olympics of the Orchid World", and we expect the standard of entries of displays and plants at the 20^th World Orchid Conference in Singapore to be very high indeed.

The task of selecting from amongst the many thousands of plants and the dozens of displays, to award the best of the best, falls on the Orchid Judges of the 20^th World Orchid Conference. That task is a challenging one, but also brings great enjoyment and satisfaction. It is also one which holds high prestige. As an orchid judge, I find no greater reward than the knowledge of having contributed to a judging process of the highest standard in the world.
